The Vintage Bentley Servo Assisted Brake is a vacuum operated servo mechanism providing powerful assistance to reduce brake pedal loads. A vacuum valve and bellows power unit are installed in the brake pedal rod. Pushing on the brake pedal opens the valve causing the power unit to collapse with considerable force. The power unit transmits this force to the brake cross shaft and therefore applies the brakes with greater force than that provided solely by the driver’s foot.
